Be Your Own Broker is built the way a tool that's actually on your side should be. Here's the whole policy in plain English.

The tools run in your browser

The Finance-Office Check and the refinance estimator do all their math locally, on your own device. The numbers you type — prices, rates, payments — are never sent to us or anyone else. Close the tab and they're gone, unless you choose to save a deal to compare, which is covered next.

Saving deals to compare

If you use the "Save to compare" button, the deals you save are stored in your own browser's local storage, on your device — not on our servers, and never sent to us. They stay until you remove them with "Clear all," or until you clear your browser's site data. It's the one thing the site remembers, and only on the device where you saved it.

No accounts, no ad tracking

There's nothing to sign up for. We don't ask for your name, email, or phone number. We don't run advertising cookies, behavioral tracking, session recording, or cross-site profiling, and we don't sell or share data.

Privacy-friendly analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see basic, aggregate traffic — roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. It's cookieless: it sets no cookies, doesn't fingerprint your device, and doesn't follow you across other sites or build a profile of you. It collects no information that identifies you personally. That's also why there's no cookie-consent banner here — there's nothing to consent to.

If that ever changes

If we later add something that collects more — say, an advertising slot — we'll say so here first, explain exactly what it does, and give you a clear way to opt out. This page is the honest record; we update it before, not after.
